How to record your camera?

The Camera Recorder tool lets you record yourself using your device camera without installing any software. 

Free users can make up to 15-minute recordings, premium users can make up to 60-minute recordings.

Create your project

To create your project, do the following:

1. Go to the Camera Recorder tool.
2. Click Get started.

Record camera

To record your camera, do the following:

1. In the navigation sidebar, click Record and then click Camera.
2. If prompted, allow your browser to access your camera.
3. If you have different cameras (for example back and front), in the recording pop-up window, click the Settings icon at the bottom right to choose the required camera. You can also change or turn off the microphone for your video recording.  
4. To start a recording session, click the red circle. The recording will start after a 3-second countdown. You can cancel the recording process during the countdown by clicking anywhere in the screen.
5. While recording, you can do one of the following:
   • To stop the recording and save it, click the Stop button in the middle. Then proceed to step 6.
   • To pause the recording, click the Pause button to the right, and then click it again to continue.
   • To start a new recording, click the Retake button to the left and confirm that you want to make a new recording without saving the current one.
6. After clicking the Stop button, in the new pop-up window, you can do one of the following:
   • To rename the recording, click the Camera-Record label at the top left of the pop-up window.
   • To view the recording, click the Play button. 
   • To add the recording to your project timeline, click the Add to timeline button. The recording will also be automatically added to Media.
   • To add the recording to your Media only without adding it to the project timeline, click the Add to Media button.
   • To start a new recording, click the Retake button at the bottom left of the pop-up window and confirm that you want to make a new recording without saving the current one.

Save the recording

To edit and download your recording, do the following:

1. Add the recording to your project by clicking the Add to timeline button or clicking the recording thumbnail in the Media tab.
2. Edit the project if needed and at the top right click Export.
3. In the pop-up window, select one of the export settings. The final resolution of your video in pixels depends on your canvas aspect ratio and selected export setting.
4. Click Continue and wait for the process to finish. Depending on the selected export option, your video duration, and applied settings this process can take up to several minutes. You can click Cancel at the bottom to stop the export process and get back to the editing screen.
5. On the result page, you can do one of the following:
   • To save the file to your device, click Download.
   • To save the file to your Google Drive or Dropbox storage account, hover over or click the arrow to the right of the Download button and select the option of your choice.
