Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues you might encounter with possible troubleshooting options.
Why can't I preview the recorded video in my project?
After you add the recorded video to the timeline, you may see the black screen instead of your video in the preview.
This might happen when your recording is large, and your browser does not allow previewing the video until it is fully loaded. Ensure you have a high-speed internet connection and allow 5 to 10 minutes for your browser to fully load the video.
Why can't I see all the recording options?
When you click Record, you may see only Audio or Audio and Camera are available as recording options.
This might happen when you are using a mobile browser version. To get access to all recording options, use desktop browsers.
Why do I see the "Cannot start recording" error?
Problem 1
Sometimes, the recording does not start, and you see the error message that something is blocking access to the camera and microphone.
For a recording session to start, you need to allow your browser to access the microphone, camera, and screen recording.
As a rule, the first time you start recording in Clideo, you will be prompted to grant access to your microphone, camera, and screen recording. After clicking Allow, this permission will be saved for future sessions.
If you still see this message, you might need to enable permissions in your device settings. Use the short troubleshooting guides below, or refer to your device manuals for the latest instructions.
