How to add transitions in Video Editor?

Transitions are visual effects that smooth the change from one image or video to another.

You can add transitions, change them, and adjust their duration in your project. Currently, you can add transitions between images and videos.

Add transition

To add a transition, do the following:

1. Add at least two elements (videos or images) side by side on the timeline.
2. On the timeline, click a transition icon between the two elements.
3. In the Transition tab, click the transition to preview and apply it.
4. (Optional) To apply the same transition to all other adjacent videos and images in the project, click the Apply to all icon at the bottom right of the Transitions tab.

Change transition duration

Each transition has a default duration that depends on the element type and its duration on the timeline. To change the transition duration, do the following:

• On the timeline, click the transition icon between two elements.

• Click the Settings icon at the bottom right of the Transitions tab, and then drag the slider to set the required duration in seconds.

• (Optional) To apply the same transition and its new duration to all other adjacent videos and images in the project, click the Apply to all icon at the bottom right of the Transitions tab.

The maximum transition duration that can be applied also depends on the element's own duration and cannot be exceeded.

Change transition

You can change a transition at any time. To apply another transition, do the following:

• On the timeline, click the transition icon between the two elements.
• In the Transitions tab, click a different transition to preview and apply it.
• (Optional) To apply the same transition to all other adjacent videos and images in the project, click the Apply to all icon at the bottom right of the Transitions tab.

Remove transition

You can remove a transition at any time. To remove a transition, do the following:

• On the timeline, click the transition icon between the two elements.
• In the Transitions tab, select None. 
• (Optional) To remove all transitions from all adjacent videos and images in the project, click the Apply to all icon at the bottom right of the Transitions tab.
