Sometimes you upload a video to the Rotate Video tool and it looks already rotated, however, the Export button is inactive.
Most likely, your file has the rotation metadata, which was added by your mobile device. This data tells some browsers and video players to display the video the way it was shot: portrait or landscape. Our tool also supports this data, that is why you see it as already rotated.
Troubleshooting
The workaround is to remove the rotation metadata from the file. To do that with the help of our tool, do the following:
- Rotate the video in any direction.
- Export the file. The rotation metadata will be removed during this process.
- Add the rotated video to the tool.
- Rotate the video as you need, and export it again.
