You can apply fade-in and fade-out effects to create a smooth transition between video or audio files. The fade-in effect affects the beginning of the file, while the fade-out effect, its end. It is possible to add both or just one of them.
The fade effect works the following way:
- In video files, the image gradually appears from the dark frame at the beginning and fades out to the dark frame at the end.
- In audio files, the sound gradually becomes louder at the beginning and goes quiet at the end.
You can apply the fade-in and fade-out effects in the following tools:
Fade-in and fade-out duration is set by default and cannot be changed. It is 1 second for video files (but no longer than 25% of the file duration), and 3 seconds for audio files (but no longer than 100% of the file duration). We recommend using these effects for files longer than 1 or 3 seconds respectively.
