You can apply fade-in and fade-out effects to create a smooth transition between video or audio files. The fade-in effect affects the beginning of the file, while the fade-out effect, its end. It is possible to add both or just one of them.
The fade effect works the following way:
- In video files, the image gradually appears from the dark frame at the beginning and fades out to the dark frame at the end.
- In audio files, the sound gradually becomes louder at the beginning and goes quiet at the end.

The fade duration is set by default and cannot be changed. It is calculated based on the duration of the snippets. We recommend using this effect for snippets that are longer than 3 seconds.
