Once your video is added to the project, you can trim, transform, rotate, and adjust its color settings, volume, speed, and timing.
To access the available video settings, select the corresponding element in the timeline or canvas. The selected element is outlined in yellow.
Move video
To move the video, on the canvas, click and drag it to place it anywhere on the canvas.
Trim video
To trim the video, do one of the following:
- In the timeline, drag the yellow handles of the video element to specify the required duration.

In the video settings section, click the Time tab, and then specify the duration of the element under Duration or set the start and end timestamps manually under Timing.
Transform video
To transform the video, in the video settings section, click the Transform tab and then do one of the following:
- To fill the entire canvas with the video, scale, and crop it if required, click Fill.
- To fit the entire video without cropping within the canvas and add black bars if required, click Fit.
- To crop the video, do the following:
- To open the crop options, click Crop.
- Select one of the crop presets or, in the preview area, manually drag the corner and edge handles to specify the crop boundaries.
- To move or resize the video inside the cropping area, move or resize the video in the preview.
- To rotate the video, drag the Rotate slider.
- To reset the cropping settings, click the Revert to original button.
- To apply the cropping settings, click the Done checkmark at the top right of the crop section.
- To make the video proportionally smaller or larger, on the canvas, click and drag the corner handles in or out.
- To flip the video, in the Flip & Rotate section, click the Vertical or Horizontal flip icons.
- To rotate the video, in the Flip & Rotate section, click the Rotate icon or use the plus and minus buttons to specify the rotation angle. Alternatively, on the canvas, click the Rotation handle at the bottom of the yellow rectangle and rotate the video manually.
Adjust color settings
To adjust color settings, click the Adjust tab and drag the sliders to change your video opacity, brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, and add a blur effect. Click Reset at the bottom to reset the settings to default.
Adjust audio settings
To adjust the audio, click the Audio tab and then do one of the following:
- To change the audio volume, drag the Volume slider.
- To make the speech in the video clearer and reduce background noises (e.g.: wind, fan, etc.), toggle the Noise reduction switch.
- To extract audio from your video, click the Extract audio button. The audio will be detached from your video and placed on a separate track in the timeline. The video volume will be set to zero.
Change video speed
To slow down or speed up the video, click the Speed tab and drag the slider to set a custom speed or select one of the speed presets: 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.25, 1.5, or 2.
Freeze frame
To freeze a specific frame of a video element and reuse it as an image in your project, do the following:
- To specify the frame you want to freeze, in the timeline, drag the playhead until you see the frame you need in the preview screen.
- Select the video element to see the Freeze frame icon at the top left of the timeline.
- To freeze the selected frame, click the Freeze frame icon. The video will split, if applicable, and an image with the frame will be added at the point where the placeholder is located. The image will also be added to Media.
Remove video
To remove the video from the project timeline, select its thumbnail, and then do one of the following:
- At the top-left of the timeline, click the Delete icon.
- Press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard.
The file will be removed from your project but will stay in the Media section.
