How to add your own watermark to video?

You can add your logo, image, text, or video to your video as a watermark in Clideo Video Editor. A watermark of your own can help identify the video as created by you or your brand and also build awareness across social media. 

Before you begin

1. Prepare your video and watermark files. For a watermark, you can use an image, gif, or even a video file. In case of a logo image, PNG format with transparent background is recommended.
2. Open Video Editor and click Get started.

Upload your files

To upload files, do one of the following:

• To upload from your device, in the navigation sidebar, click the + icon.
• Copy and paste files from your device, or take a screenshot and paste it into the editor.
• Drag and drop files from a folder on your computer or laptop into the editor.
• To upload from one of your storage accounts, in the navigation sidebar, click Media, and then click the Google Drive, Google Photos, or Dropbox icons.
• To record audio or video in your browser, in the navigation sidebar, click Media, and then click the Record icon or click the Record icon in the navigation sidebar.

Add watermark to video project 

If the files were not added to the project timeline automatically, to add your video and the watermark file to your video project, in the navigation sidebar, click Media, and then do one of the following:

• In the Media section, click the media thumbnail.
• From the Media section, click and drag the file to the timeline or canvas.

To add a text element as a watermark to your video project, in the navigation sidebar, click Text, and then do one of the following:

• In the Text section, click the text preset thumbnail.
• From the Text section, click and drag the text preset to the timeline. 

Make watermark visible

For your watermark to be visible in your video, it should be in the top track of the timeline above all other elements. To ensure the watermark visibility, do the following: 

1. To move the watermark to the top track if required, select its thumbnail in the timeline, and then do one of the following:
• Click and drag the selected element to the top track.
• At the top-left of the timeline, click the Bring Forward icon until the element is in the top track.
• Press Ctrl + ↑ / ⌘ Command + ↑ on your keyboard until the element is in the top track.
2. To determine when the watermark is visible in your video, select its thumbnail in the timeline, and then drag the yellow handles to specify the required duration. 

If you use a video file as a watermark, you cannot make it longer than its original length. If you need it to last longer, you can duplicate it.

Edit watermark settings

You can move the watermark across the canvas, change its size and opacity if required. To make the required changes, select the watermark in the timeline or on the canvas, and then do one of the following:

• To make the watermark smaller or larger, on the canvas, click and drag the corner handles in or out. 
• To move the watermark, on the canvas, drag the element to any position. You can also use your keyboard arrows to move the elements (Keyboard shortcuts).
• To make the image or video watermark transparent, in the options section, click the Adjust tab, and then drag the opacity slider. To return the settings to default, click Reset at the bottom.
