An image or video file stores color information for each pixel. The alpha channel adds transparency information, controlling how visible each pixel is. Pixels can be fully transparent, partially transparent, or not transparent.
Alpha channels are useful for overlaying digital images or videos over other assets while keeping underlying layers visible.
Does Clideo support files with the alpha channel/transparency?
Clideo tools support a range of image and video formats, including those with the alpha channel. Refer to the list of supported formats for specific tools.
We currently support transparency for elements placed over another image, video, or color background in all-in-one tools.
However, creating and exporting projects with a transparent canvas/background is not supported in our tools.
Can I import a file with the alpha channel?
Yes, you can import files with the alpha channel to all-in-one tools and place them over other images, videos, or backgrounds while keeping their transparency.
Please note that not all browsers can handle transparency settings correctly. Sometimes, animated GIFs or stickers with transparency may display a white background in the preview on some Apple devices. However, after export, they will be transparent.
Can I edit the alpha channel/transparency?
No, you cannot edit the alpha channel settings separately in our tools.
However, you can adjust the opacity level for the entire imported element in all-in-one tools.
Can I export a project with a transparent canvas/background?
No, you cannot create and export a project with a transparent canvas/background in our tools.
